Getting Silly
We have entered a dark side of the moon period in the schedule somewhere after the dust has settled from the 08 season and before 09 training and negotiating often known as the silly season. This period of time where rumors and trash talk begins…. (who’s going to do what for next year) I like to take about a month off and get into a few mind cleansing activities that aren’t normally allowed during the normal season. This past sunday I chose to assemble a contraption to send a 20 inch bicycle and myself to Neptune. A couple of phone calls to some local hardcore BMX riders and the plan was quickly constructed into reality on the mighty Ohio River’s shoreline. The setup included several 2 liter bottles strapped to the bike for floatation, a 20 ft vertical decent, and a dirt / wooden booter aimed at the watery abyss. As luck wouldn’t have it no one wanted to challange me at paper rock sicissors in order who would go first. (I was pre elected test pilot) I will let the photos below explain the rest.
